Merry meet!
Yesterday, I went on an adventure!
I went to the BEACH! I f**king love the beach. A lot. It's incredible. Sand all up in my toes, sun beating down on me, the smell of the salt water....Bliss. We went to a part of the beach I had never been to before, a part that no one ever goes to, at all, for any reason, and it was incredible. The beach was covered in dead sea weed, and you'd think that that would make a beach unattractive, but it was quite the opposite.
Where there wasn't a carpet of dead seaweed, there was sand made from bits and pieces of broken shell.
I mean, this beach was absolutely covered in sea shells. You couldn't walk barefoot for fear of cutting your feet on the broken pieces! It was amazing! I've never seen such a wondrous place in my life. Beach goers before us had left so many things that every step was like a treasure hunt. It is absolutely amazing what people will leave behind. I found a pair of flip flops, two sets of rusty keys, 4 pairs of sunglasses, a buoy, buckets, headlights, 30's light bulbs, a boomerang....Just amazing.
As we were swimming, fish kept jumping beside us and we couldn't step anywhere in the water without touching a hermit crab! The number of beautiful shells I got was astounding. I even got an empty hermit crab shell (I could have had plenty, but I refused to pull a living crab out of it's house-that just seemed wrong...) and a pelican feather, which I plan to use in a ritual or as a quill pen, I don't know just yet.
As we were leaving, my brother in law kicked the Jeep into 4-wheel-drive and took us "sanding" which is like mudding for all us southerners, theres just no mud, it's all sand. :-) We sped and spun and 180'd our way to the exit, where we drove through miles of country to get back home. The ride there was almost as amazing as the stay at the beach. As far as the eye could see, there was nothing but rice fields and forest and ghost towns. So many of the buildings were abandoned in High Island (the town right before Boliver Peninsula) that it's a miracle what was still open remained open. I would have thought that one tackle shop wouldn't be very successful surrounded by abandoned tourist shops and empty gas stations. Hmm.
Also, before I go, Pumpkin update: This cat will be the death of me. He never stops meowing or knocking over everything on my altar. Grrrrr.
Until we meet again,
Blessed be!

Kitty Update
Pumpkin the kitty that went to be with my friend Hex has sadly come back to live with me. :'(
Hex wanted dearly to keep Pumpkin, but the little thing kept causing Hex troubles with her allergies, and so Pumpkin will be living with me again until we find her yet another home. It was unnavoidable and saddening to all involved, but Pumpkin doesn't seem to mind! She's just as playful as ever, and damn near impossible to catch.
On another note, I've started my physical copy of my BoS, transferring all of the information I've collected in my digital BoS to paper. It's going to be a lengthy process, but I'm hoping that all the energy and efforts I'm putting into it will make it more mine and bring me luck with spells in the future.
Until my next post,
Blessed Be!

Witchy Find!
I've been finding these amazing items left and right - for FREE! It really blows my mind how these things keep popping up. :-)
Just yesterday, at the local Good Will, I happened upon fabric imprinted with Flylots. A few hours after that, I found bundles of sage at a thrift store down the road, along with 4 pieces of citrine and rose quartz. I also found a shop I had never bothered to enter before. Now that I have entered this shop, I intend to become a regular customer. It has items for all of your magickal needs: hand dipped incense, candles, tarot cards, altar cloths, god/goddess statues, the works. I was so excited to find it!
On another note, remember the cat we were preparing for in my previous post? Pumpkin is now at her new home, and she has settled in nicely. She has a basket of toys and numerous blankets, and a loving new owner that I just know is going to connect awsomely with her. She's happy, I'm happy, Hex is happy, everyone's happy!
See you lovelies later, Blessed Be!

Early Morning Magick!
Merry meet!
I didn't go to sleep last night at all due to me being at a close friends for the night. Helping her set up for her new kitten! We ended up not doing much to prepare for her new little friend, instead throwing a mini neon party. Lot's of glow in the dark balloons and glow sticks and water balloons. It was amazing.
While the others slept (there were two more people besides my close friend Hex and I) Hex and I made breakfast and had coffee as the sun came up. There was a light rain going and we watched all the morning animals scurry for shelter through the steam of our coffee cups. Sitting there in the early morning rays with one of my best friends, I felt like time had stood still. Completely stopped and that the God had his arms around me. Pure magick, Words cannot describe it, but I'm trying so hard! Lol! :-)
Until next time, love and blessings

Lughnasadh!
Merry Meet!
A little bit on the sabbat:
Lughnasadh (or Lammas to some), falls on August 1, usually, and it marks the beginning of harvest season. Apples are ready, grains are ready, stuff like that. It's also a time to honor Lugh, the Celtic god of crafts, so remember to decorate your altar! :)
That's the short version, a summary if you will. All through this month leading up to the actual day, I will be posting things related to the upcoming holiday, so keep a look out for that. It'll be like recipes, and fun crafts, things for the kids to do, should you have any! Things like that. I'll post pictures of my altar for the season and things that I make this next month, in honor of Lugh.
Blessed be, all you lovely people!
Love, HR.

Chant To Wake Up Early
Merry meet!
This one may seem a little silly considering almost every one has reliable alarm clocks! But I know mine fails sometimes (I swear, I'm retarded when it comes to technology) and when it does fail, there's usually big trouble. Besides, what harm does it do to say this chant and maybe wake up before the alarm? It could improve your mood and you could probably relax a little before work.
When you're lying in bed, relax your body, find a nice comfortable sleeping position.
Now say:
"Wake me early
In the God's golden light
After a peaceful rest
With the Goddess tonight."
Say it either in your head or out loud, whichever you prefer. Say it as many times as feels right to you.
You should wake up nice and early. :)
Blessed be!

Start Of A Journey!
Merry Meet!
So this is the beginning. The start of my blog about Wicca and my practice, and I'm excited to share it with you guys, I really am. What I've been wondering ever since I made this thing, was what do you, as the readers, want to see in a Wiccan blog? As much as I love watching people like TipToeChick on YouTube, I know there are some definite things I wished she would cover. So what are some of those things? Give me your honest opinions, I'm new to this, I need help! Make a little list for me in the comment section and I will see to it that I cover what you want me to. :) A few things I know for sure I want to cover with this blog are things like:
-Recipes for the sabbats
-My altar set up
-Little mini lessons for new Wiccans
And that's all I have so far. So thank you in advance for all the great feedback, I know you guys will come up with some great stuff!
Love and light,
